When I’m out of office

If I’m lucky, I’m either climbing up a mountain or skiing down one.

What is the most adventurous thing you have done?

I spent the night camping on a small ridge about 1,000 feet off the ground at Yosemite with no tent!

I had a strong belief that machine learning and AI was the next “leg in the stool” of private equity value creation, but I didn’t know of a firm that had truly embraced that vision. When I met the team here, it was a “You had me at hello!” moment.

We are building a different type of firm within alternative asset management. I don’t know of another group that combines the quality and breadth of our team, our differentiated investment philosophy, and our flexible mandate.

Every day I draw on my varied experiences as an investor, operator, and entrepreneur. A core part of our process is partnership with great management teams, and in my career thus far, the most rewarding experiences have been those where we partnered with a terrific team and executed on a shared vision.

In the next 10-15 years, the market leaders will be the companies that were most successful in integrating AI into their businesses. That’s a massive macro trend, and we’re at the forefront of facilitating it.

Prior experience:

  • Riverwood Capital Worked on rapidly-scaling companies.
  • Chief Financial Officer at Scratch CFO at a fintech company.
  • Vice President at Francisco Partners Invested in mid-sized companies.
  • Associate at KKR & Co Worked on large company buyouts.
